Hole 9

The final hole of the front nine is a slight dogleg right par 4. The tee shot is demanding, as the right-to-left sloping fairway will kick anything not up the left side down into the tall gums on the right.

Once you’ve negotiated the drive, the second shot is into a small green that slopes severely from back to front. A large greenside bunker guards the front right, ready to catch any ball drifting that way.

The smart play—both off the tee and on approach—is up the left side. The natural camber and slopes will feed the ball back into position and help steer it away from trouble.
