Hole 10

As with the front nine, the back nine opens with a relatively gentle downhill par 5. Longer hitters may be tempted to reach for the driver in hopes of setting up an iron into the green, but the smarter play is often a fairway wood or long iron down the left side of the fairway.

This is also the ideal target for shorter hitters, as the fairway is fairly tight, doglegging slightly to the right and lined with trees on both sides. A well-positioned bunker short of the green will force a decision—lay up or go for it.

Whichever option you choose, it’s advisable to keep the ball left, as the fairway slopes down to the right. The green is narrow and guarded by a bunker left and long, with a steep slope falling away on the right. Accuracy on approach is essential.
